120 pages down. You started some topics but didn't finish them best I could tell. Some are just general conversation that a person who doesn't drive may not know, so I'm just going to ask. If you answer them in the next 300 pages then don't say and I will find them. 1. How did your MPG test turn out when you switched from driving 55 to 65? 2. What are the different hat colors and their responsibilities "black hats ect......"? I'm not sure if I will get back into trucking or not, however, this is a great read. Like a book looking into the lives of 100 people all just speaking their minds. If I do go Maverick I hope I never meet AC, probably wouldn't be a good thing for a Marine. LOL. I was once stuck in downtown Pittsburg in front of the courthouse at noon on a Friday loaded with drywall, could picture it when you was telling the story. Everyone be safe!!!!!

picked up a preloaded trailer at cmc in Birmingham and qcom auto prompted me to fill out new macros for both the trailer I was dropping and the trailer I was picking up. Trailer I got was reported by driver who had it last to have a "tarp box issue." The issue was, a clasp was missing that goes across the two doors so you can put a lock on it. I took it off the trailer I dropped and put it on the trailer I picked up swapped F12177 for 25081e. Also reported I did this on both new trailer swap macros.

Lets just say, he's not hammering down anymore, lol and The Black Hat Program is a Driver of the Month program. After a driver has been with the company for a year, his fleet manager can nominate him or her to be a driver of the Month. Usually, its the top performers on the Fleet Managers Board. Of the nominees one is chosen for each month of the year and is routed thru HQ in North Little Rock once per quarter for a Drivers Activity Council (DAC) Meeting. Of The 12 Drivers of the Month each year, one is chosen to be Driver of the year. All Drivers and Some Maverick employees vote for Driver of the Year. The Blackhats (drivers of the month) are supposed to be the spokespeople for the drivers out on the road and are supposed to present ideas and suggestions given to them by other company drivers at the quarterly DAC meetings. It does carry some prestige but there is no authority given with the blackhat when it is presented to the driver whom is chosen. We are not anyone's supervisor. We are not required to call safety anytime we see someone doing something not entirely, "the Maverick Way" etc. HOWEVER because of a handful of Blackhats that pun intended got the hat and it went straight to their heads, blackhats have the reputation of being a bunch of company tattletales that will turn you in to safety at the drop of a hat (again pun intended) There are a lot of good ones and there have been some that I couldn't stand to even be in the same truckstop as them. The Blackhats that come up to a driver and offer their help to fix something the driver has done wrong are the good ones. The 4'10" one that walked up and down a line of Maverick trucks analyzing their securements, obviously suffering from a severe Napoleonic complex. He was an arse and last I heard is working for Decker

Since sarge answered the black hat question I will skip it...lo.. I found that the only thing I could control.was how fast I drove this truck. I found that in the long run I made more money, was more relaxed, enjoyed the ride and got nice lite pins and certificates from the company.... Which means i am not.getting negative attention...L
