If you wasn’t able to drive for Maverick and was still going to drive flatbed who would you go with and why. I am asking this to any driver.

I would probably drive for pape trucking because they are a first rate company!

    MtDewMan Thanks this.

I unloaded behind a Pape yesterday. Nice equipment. My choice would be Prime,I guess. I know drivers there that are very happy, both lease and company. The only thing I dont like about Prime is that they make the company drivers buy their own flatbed equipment. They take the payments out weekly at something like $50 and say they do it because drivers abuse equipment they dont own. I have to agree with that sentiment. I see it here at Maverick all the time, however theoretically Maverick is suppose to charge drivers who abuse equipment but Ive never seen or heard of it actually happening.

    MtDewMan Thanks this.

That is good that your truck is fixed. I hate that about your lumber tarps.

The inverter works and they claim they did nothing to it. It was showing fault and turning itself.off in 5 seconds. I am.still sick about my tarps!

What happens in a case like that Jim? Do you buy the stolen equipment out of pocket and then Maverick reimburses you?

Depends if he had padlock on his tarp boxes. Policy (whether they enforce it or not) is no lock, then you pay for replacement. About $800 for a set of lumbers.

No I did not have my locks on the boxes. In the winter I take them off during the week because of the salt. I thought I was in a secure area but found out otherwise. I did have my fifth wheel lock on it unlike the other mav trailer that was there. I could have lied about the locks but that is not my style. So I will just accept whatever maverick decides. From now on though, I will have my locks on those boxes whenever I park that truck.
