We pull aluminum ingots in there,or we did,and that paid fairly decent. So I was shocked at what they wanted to pay to haul the finished product. No thank you until the rate moves up. Now if I didnt have to deadhead, maybe but Id still grumble.

It always seems like a waste of time to go from running restarts to running recap. Our guys usually exhaust their 70 in 5.5-6 days. So even if they were out on the road, it would be just as useful to do a restart.

I prefer running with restarts. I run 2+ weeks and would much rather have 5-6 full days of work than 7 full days and a bunch of partials because I'm not getting enough back every day to make up for what I'm using.

Almost all our drivers work out of our Dubuque location. They work 5-6 days then take 1.5-2 off at home. I often have drivers ask about staying out longer. I always tell them occasionally there are opportunities, but usually you are just as well off to work hard for 5 then take 2 off.

This is the first time i have had so few hrs to work with. Last week I ran every day. I am starting this week with almost 900 miles. I have had two of my best weeks running recap. I would have preferred to do a restart, but since I was not going home, it was just as well to keep moving.....besides I got to come to beautiful gary indiana where it is raining so my truck will be trashed again....lol

So who can I talk to if I am unable to get should of my FM about returning back to work? Besides Jim. He can take care of anything.
