I drove down on Sunday to about 40 miles from ooltewah TN. When I got there, there was a mav ic at the entrance so it was easy to find. After I got unloaded I just drove around the building like you usually do. I came to the docks and there was no way through. A guy came out and talked to me. He said they get worried when trucks come back here.....I said thats good because I was worried to! It was no big deal, just had to back out and then cut through two buildings. It was tight, but not bad. I had a load in about 30 minutes to go down to cartersville Ga. Appointment was for 1300, I got there at 11:00 and got right in. Was heading out by the time my appointment hit.
I made it to Oak Grove Ky at the Pilot and spent the night.
I drove today and made it to Welton IA and have 63 miles to go in the morning. My appointment is at 12:00, but I will head out of here around 8 and see if I can get unloaded early.

For some reason which I can not explain, I thought I had an unload appointment at 12:00. It was reinforced by the directions which said that you needed an unload appointment.
At around 0730 I noticed that they unload from 8 to 12. I was close so I headed on up. They had me wait up at the truck stop and after about an hour, they called me down. I talked to another Mav who unloaded right before me, and he said there were four other mavs at the truck stop last night. So I probably would not have been unloaded any sooner.
After sitting for about 3 hrs, I sent a message asking if there was any freight. Slim, but I was two on the board.
Around 1530 I got a work assignment to pick up at sterling steel tomorrow morning going to Scottdale Pa for friday delivery. So I headed on down there and spent the night. Every 15 minutes I train came by which if you have been there, you know how close to the tracks you are. Not a very sound night of sleep.
Got in Line at 0600 and they opened the gate at 0700. Right after I checked in and cross the scales, I got the load pulled and given another one. Same shipper, only delivering in Solon Ohio.
Got loaded pretty quickly and then headed on out. I made it to the last service plaza in ohio before I480. Arrived right at the time they open for deliveries and got unloaded right away.
Started making coffee and got my load assignment. Go 3.5 miles to Bedford heights Ohio and load at Majestic Steel for 10:00. Says you can load 1.5 hrs ahead. So I pull in there right at 0830 and contact the guard. He says "YOU ARE EARLY! YOUR APPOINTMENT IS 10:30. I tell him that my info says 10:00 and ask if I can pull behind the PGT truck that is sitting off to the side infront of me. (I can see no other trucks at this time) " YOU DRIVERS ARE KILLING ME TODAY, THAT PGT TRUCK IS EARLY AND NOW YOU ARE EARLY! THE NEXT DRIVER THAT COMES IN HERE EARLY IS GETTING SENT AWAY I DO NOT CARE WHAT THE EXCUSE IS! I said sir, I am really sorry, my info was for 10:00, which I understand is incorrect, but that is the reason that I am here now! He then tells the pgt truck to go on back and tells me to take his spot and call him at 0900. At 0855 aother truck goes back and he calls me and gets my info and sends me back. The drive way in front on the side of the building is over 300 feet long and you could fit tree wide easily, and it was only me and the pgt driver. When I got in the back, the pgt driver was still there, plus the guy that was now in front of me. When we got inside, there was only one truck in there and he was loaded and tarped. So I do not know what was going on, but I think he over reacted....but I did not have to leave.
Got 12 skits of sheet metal...thee stacks of four going to Greenville SC for a 9-10 appointment...and yes I am sure....lol.
I will be heading out Sunday Morning and will probably stop at the Flying J in Blacksburg.
Hope you all have a nice weekend.....I do not think Sewerman is going to make it home this weekend.
