Hey Jim, what were your most recent microwave issues?
The one I've been using for over a year won't work now. When I turn it on the inverter shuts off...??? It doesn't trip any fuses or GFI's.. Microwave works fine in the house.
If you replaced yours what'd you get and where? Thanks

In all honesty, I feel bad for the guy. He's just trying to carve out a living for his family and it can be really rough being out here and missing them, especially when you have kids.

 

Mine started doing that and it turned out that 4 of the 6 batteries in the truck were bad. Worked fine once the shop replaced them.

Im using a really small microwave now, got it through the company store. It fits right in the cubby where the TV would normally go. Insanely expensive though at about $180, but it'll probably last me a long time since I don't use it much.

 

You know, I'm thinking that may be my problem too. I was on vacation for that week and had the truck plugged in. But when I got back the thing barely cranked over...and all this week it shut the power down while I was sleeping. My APU kept running, but all the other stuff was dead in the morning. Does anyone know if the inverter is wired to the cranking batteries or the APU batteries?
I had to get a "B" service done this week and wanted to get it in one of our shops but never got near one. Ended up going to T/A Knoxville West for the service but didn't get anything looked at other than the usual PM stuff. I will have to get it into one of our shops next week. I haven't had a functional fuel/DEF gage for about a month now....lol
