Trainer trucks are heavier if I remember correctly. I weigh just over 29,300 full of fuel and empty. I have hauled a coil that was almost that exact same weight. I was real close to gross weight max. Sometimes we have to get permits for the PLD loads.

I usually weigh 28,800 empty and full of fuel. Couple weeks ago I scaled a load of pressure treated lumber at 80,180. That made the load weight 51,380.

I was told that we're allowed 80,500 lbs. 500 lbs over to allow for the apu unit. But I wouldn't want to chance it.

Well, it's official, I'm heading to Little Rock!!!!first week of September (09/08/13)....I'm eager, excited and more than a little scared, this is gonna be one helluva career change for me!!!Flatbeds here I come!!!
