I made it to the NLR yard by about 0815 after fueling up 12809 for the last time. Took a while to find the truck but once I did, I could not figure out how to turn the power on. I was reading the manual when another driver came over and showed me. He said he could not find it and had to finally have someone show him.
I got everything transferred and was out of there by 11. Everything was not put away, but I still had to get on down the road.
I love the new truck! It is lighter, shorter wheel base, and shifts like a warm knife going through butter. I made it all the way to exit two in Ky on I 65 and mileage was 7.6. That was with the last 150 miles going between 65 and 68. The seats are a nice color and fabric then the 12's. The dash is much easier on the eyes. All and all I am very impressed. It was worth it to go the trainer route to get me a brand new truck. It had 22 miles on it when I got it. MPG was 8.1 when I pulled in the home pilot. I only have 40,000 on it but still I think that is impressive for a brand new truck.
I am hearing a rubbing sound when the wheels are rolling. Can not tell where it is coming from. The wheel hubs are not hot or anything like that.
I will have them check i t when I get near another terminal.
I am delivering in Jeffersonville Ohio on Tuesday. When I stopped at the rest area, the qualcom said I had arrived. I sent in a message explaining that I was just passing by. When I headed on up the road, I got another automated message telling me not to forget to send in my mt call. Oh well...lol
It is so nice to have all of my cabinets back and the lights that were replaced by the extra bunk.
While at the flying j last night, I broke a tooth on their chicken wings. So I will have to deal with that tomorrow....
Have fun on the road with out me tomorrow! Be safe! -
