Sorry to hear about your truckproblems Jim. The only trouble we have had is the APU. They changed out the entire system @ NLR about 2 weeks after getting the truck and now the fan will just cut off randomly. Usually on hot nights. Have tried to get it started for hours while waiting for hubby to get loaded then right before we leave it works. Need to find time to get it fixed.

Got truck back at noon and got a load picking up at ghent going to savannah Georgia. Picked up 16 coils....13 of.them skidded. My transmission would not shift out of second. Had to turn power of to truck. Had to do it three different times.
I used 8 chains, 10 straps, every one of my edge protectors. It was definitely a good work out.
Stopped for the night at rest area on 75 south just above Lexington. I deliver on Friday and have already been told I will probably get hung out.....what a week....LOL

That happens to us too. Well run great for 5-6 hours and then shut off. Gets really annoying fast. Have them check the batteries. That was our issue.

Same exact problem happened with mine last month. Mine was also the batteries, they weren't properly holding a charge.

Off topic big time!! But there are lots of eyes that are going to see this and I need real help!

Alright so someone please give me the real scoop!! I stopped at a flatbed truck today (in search on a tmc driver) this was a different company driver of a rival company! Nice guy! We talked for almost three hours. He said he has spoken to other tmc drivers and they had some not so nice things to say. Like short pay, long waits and low miles! Even recommended mcelroy over tmc and that wasn't the company that he worked for. I cannot run 70 hour weeks and receive $200 a week! I am so overwhelmed and frustrated right now. I wanted flatbed so that I didn't get fat and lazy not because of the money but I have to be able to afford to at least feed my family! Somebody please help me with this! I have been approved with Mcelroy TMC and maverick! What the heck do I do??

As has been suggested time and time again read Jim the huts thread start to finish. It's over 3 years of no bs real life stories of his trials and tribulations at maverick. Also you are posting on a maverick thread so don't be surprised if the answer you see in here is Maverick. Lol. Also if you have a pilot or flying j truckstop near you somewhere, take a field trip and talk to the drivers at the fuel island.

Not just because I work here, but for Someone brand new to trucking and interested in flatbed, maverick by far has the best orientation and training program to teach new drivers to secure loads so they don't end up coming thru the back of a cab to see you.
