Heading For Little Rock! Maverick

Made it to the rest area in st marys Ohio for the night. Could have gone further, but was not sure what was available.....so I played it safe.

 

I have a dentist appointment today so I was sent home mt on Thursday from up in Michigan. It has been an enjoyable time off even though I worked harder stripping and staining the deck than I would have if I had been rolling. Well check in with them tomorrow and see where they send me.

 

Got sent to pro-tec in leipsic ohio to pick up a 31,460 lb coil going to mi-tec in Murfreesboro tn. There was a pretty Long wait as they were only loading out of door 15. The coil had to be loaded regular, which to them means shotgun. I got held up a bit going across the. Bridge from Cincinnati to ky. I could have made it further, but parking gets slim once you enter Tennessee......so I decided to stop at the pilot in sonora ky. You can always find a parking spot here.

 

Made it to my delivery and for the first time ever, there was no one in front of me. I even got waved in to untarp inside. I had a preplan so I was not there very long after unloading. My next work assignment was to pick up at Sumiden Wire in Dickson Tn and go to Hanson Concrete in Maple Grove MN. It is nice from time to time to get in a full day of driving.
They had me another prelan so I knew where I was going when I got mt. Next load was to pick up Shingles at Certainteed in Shkopee MN going to Certainteed-Avery in Milan Ohio. Nice load to go home except that I can not deliver until 2000 this evening. Hopefully that will be it for the day so that I can go park and just start fresh on Tuesday. I do not want to start running the night shift.
I just went up and checked my truck to make sure everything was ok with it and there was not a pre plan on it.
It is about a 2 hr drive from my house straight up OH 61.

Another perfectly executed delivery. Got there an hour early while they were eating. By the time I was putting my last securement away, he was waiting on me. There were no trucks in front of me. Had a preplan to pick up in newton falls Ohio going to mebane nc. Made it.to the service plaza on I80 just 15 miles away.

 

Brintle's really stinks since they started selling flying j fuel. Now it is James up like ever other pilot!
