Maverick called and said I was approved just to call them when I test out of school next week so I have to choose between 2 completely different companies both were the ones top on my list the other was Abilene (van) really like what I have heard about both companies except 5% of Abilene freight goes into NYC, Maverick I don't really have no dislikes like to work so that would give me some exercise so it looks like I might be heading to Little Rock just hope I don't have to wait long need to get back to work. Thanks you guys for all the good reads and info that help me made my choice

Thanks to all that contributed to this thread! There is a lot of good information in here.

I am starting with Maverick next week and will be in the longhaul flatbed division. I start out at .43 a mile. Does anyone care to share their average gross annual income from Maverick? I made $42,500 last year at the company I just left and I am really hoping that I can pull in quite a bit more at Maverick this year.

I too have been waiting a month. I was told they only have a certain number of trainers available. They are in the process of training more trainers. This all came from a recruiter.
