I really don't get it. I dropped off the last load for them, brought the truck back to Gary for them like they wanted. Didn't break anything or have any issues that I am aware of while I was running loads for them. Heck I even gave them my CB for a newbie to use. And yet I get no details or reason for why I am not eligible for rehire. Just told that I should try in the future to have at least a year of OTR experience because it shows 'stability'. In other words, the company is more important that going home to be with your dying mother. She died not even a month after I left the company. That's some class A bs right there.

I feel ya. Exact same boat we're in. I didn't get any details either of why I'm not eligible for rehire. Returned truck to NLR yard and gave my CB as well because I had to catch the greyhound asap, my grandmother died and I had to be back that night. Sorry to hear of your mother. How long were you with maverick? And how much exp to date?

Was with Maverick for about a month before everything went down. I really only have that month of experience. I'm not at all willing to go to a bottom-feeder company for experience. I liked Maverick.

Yea I had a month with them too before leaving. I got on with a good local LTL company. But i do miss otr flatbed. Try to find something to continue your exp. Melton is one good, if you know how to use manual. I think TMC will train on manual. Jordan is really nice and autos but they require exp.

I was pretty bad too, i had no idea how after maverick. It's not too bad if you learn how to float. Might try reapplying with maverick once your year is up, or in the summer possibly when they are desperate to hire new drivers. Do you know mama Kay? She might be able to help you out, pertaining your situation, she does have a lot of say in the company.

I met her, I liked her. Don't have anyway to contact her. I just think it's incredibly terrible of them to not even give me a reason why I can't come back. Nobody ever complained about me or to me that I was ever made aware of.

I have her direct line # somewhere in a mess. Its been about 8 or 9 months ago for me since I was with them. If I come across her number I'll send you a private message. I'm pretty sure she would be able to do something for you.

Yes they do. And they are autos. Some reason the recruiter told me 1yr exp if I remember correctly.
