Thanks for the kind words....I intend to start one for yrc since the info is very limited. My son in law has been there for a year doing local pick up and delivery and he loves it......main reason I chose them.
Sounds like they need to increase the pay for loading boats like they did with glass. I used to get pissed off doing all that work for 30 bucks, which is less than an hour driving but took 3-5 hours usually. Now that it's 100 dollars I don't mind doing live loads in the places that are quick about it and getting 100+ detention in the slow places.
Prior to the boat division, i Hauled 784 loads. 603 of them were tarped. The mileage was 471,625. Equivalent to 19.94 trips around the world. I drove 5,180 in the boat division. Never even came close to having an accident on the road...had a few scrapes in the shipper and receiver mazes.....
Wow, if it's really that time consuming then I can definitely see the problem. Working half a day outside and not getting paid anything but the miles sucks.
Looks like Maverick is no longer going to make presentations to the school.... no more outside recruiters. It was fun, but they have their own school and no longer need the cdl schools.
Heard today sitting at one of their terminals they sent the last class of orientation home because they were full up in all divisions.
