I don't really care if they are anonymous or not...at least they are asking :biggrin_25519:

I didn't see any questions on there that I would have been afraid to answer directly to anybody at Maverick.

I'm glad they are trying to figure out how to improve things...but I believe the process is flawed. The survey answers will be looked at as a whole...and most likely given in percentages. I don't see how that will tell the tale properly...the are varying groups of drivers...

Those that want to be home every weekend above all else...
Those that would rather stay out a few weeks or a month then take a few days off at home...
Those that put paychecks above all else...
Those that just wanna do their job and be left alone...
Those that are only driving a truck because all else has failed...
Those that are new and don't have a clue of what they have gotten into...(at any given time, these drivers make up about 1/3 of the fleet, this is the main flaw in the survey...no offense intended, I was new once too)

How can a survey of all those drivers give a clear picture? None of them want the same things, some of them don't know what the hell they want...and the rest just want something to complain about.

As I said....I'm glad they are asking the drivers, but if they don't know the background of the driver giving the answer I don't see how it could help anything.

    Maybe I am wrong...I hope I am.

The one I am referring to is do you use illegal drugs. I do not of course, but if I did I would not take a chance and answer that question.
All the other ones were harmless and I also am glad that they are asking.

How they look at them will also depend on the person that is analyzing the questions.

Hope you have a good week!

On Sunday I drove from Marengo Ohio to the pilot south of Milwaukee...Oak something...lol Spent the night and got to the consignee shortly before 7. There was another Maverick truck pulling in. It turned out to be my new best friend Sewerman (tongue in cheek). This place is Unit Drop Forge. It is the tightest place I have ever delivered. Sewerman informed me that it was close not tight...because we had more than an inch on either side...lol
I made sure to help sewerman with his tarps and then he helped me with mine!
People helping People...you got to love it.
After getting unloaded I headed back down to the Pilot.
I got a load to pick up in Portage Indiana at US Steel and to take it to Silgan White Cap in Pa. I could either deliver it on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Before I left I made sure to offer to help the driver in front of me and the one behind me. Both said they would tarp themselves. I did help a new guy...only in truck 3 weeks with his securement.
I made it to the Port Clinton service area on I 80 for the night and took off early in the morning.
Before I got there, I received a dispatch saying that I was going to be dead headed home after I made the delivery...Nice.
So I made it there on tuesday by about 12:15 local time.
Drove 100 miles from there and stopped at a flying J at 2:00 PM.
Went to bed by 5:30 and was up at Midnight.
Got home by 8:30 local time.
I drove 55 mph all the way. I figured if they were nice enough to spend the fuel on me to get me home, I would get the best fuel mileage possible!
I feel like a zombie right now, but I am home until January 3, 2010

My review of Maverick for the calendar year 2009.

I do not think that I could have picked a better company to start my trucking career with! Are they perfect...no! Do they try and go the extra mile to do it right and treat their drivers like the valuable asset that they are...YES!
(Please do not try to over analyze this! This is me being as honest as I can. Some could go up or down...but this is what I thought!):smt117:violent3::smt068:smt067:smt071
