Used to talk to him on the CB. Then I met him a few times loading. Feller gets around....

We are sitting waiting to be unloaded in wrightsville PA. The truck is stocked with plenty of food so we are good to go! -
I have met about a half dozen or so maverick drivers from on here. I think there is only a couple left. dollylama and hoosier hunter. I have met scarecrow and redd from other co's.

Well we dropped our coils off in wrightsville Pa. We had to wait about 3 hours past our appointment. We headed for Delaware but we were not going to make it on time. We were rerouted to Sparrow Point Md. It was an amazing plant. Thousands of steel coils. There were trucks backed up all around the builiding in two lines.
We finally got our coil loaded at 8 and had enough time to drive to an empty parking lot to spend the night.
We will be up at 0600 tomorrow and will be heading to Pittsburgh Pa.
Didn't get to drive but 15 minutes today but will get to drive plenty tomorrow.
Anyone that is thinking about flatbeding, I hope you realize that it is hard work!
Until tomorrow!
God Bless!!!! -
Yesterday we dropped our coil in Pittsburgh Pa. It was the toughest driving that I ever had to do. The route through downtown was very tight and challenging.
Then you had to pull into the dock, unload and then back out and make a couple of sharpe cuts to get out.
We then were given a pickup in East Canton Ohio. This time we are picking up fire brick. We drove there and ended up parking on the side of the road.
It was snowing pretty hard all the way there.
We got started at 7:00. The fork lift was getting stuck in the snow as it tried to put the 14 pallets on the truck.
It was snowing and blowing pretty hard. My hands were freezing as the leather gloves were soaked. I have better winter gear, but I do not have it with me as I did not know how much room I would have on the truck.
We double tarped it and got it done.
This load is going to Kansas.
When I got back in the truck, my trainer had some good news.
He was going to get to go home and I was going to get my 34 hr restart as I was almost out of hours.
The best news was this was going to take me right past my house.
My wife was able to meet us at the Pilot in Marengo. She brought my dog with her.
We only got about 10 minutes but it was wonderful.
I drove all the way to Carrolton Ky. Maverick put me up in the Hampton. It is really nice! I will be here until Sunday Morning unless the weather gets bad and we have to leave early.
It is nice to have some privacy again! And I do not have to worry about hitting my head!
Hope you all have a great evening! God Bless!!!! -
