I tend to mind my own business unless somebody (Maverick or not) asks me for help...but if anybody ever wants to run his mouth about my tarp/securement...I don't care what kind of hat or jacket he's wearing, I'll tell him real quick, fast, and in a hurry what he can do with his attitude...

I do things the way Maverick wants them done...some tarp jobs look better than others though (it happens...off days)

Everybody is an individual...and has a way of doing things. I prefer to do my tarping and securing myself...I don't want or need help...except maybe folding the lumber tarps when getting unloaded, that speeds things up and is appreciated by all. But if you ask me, I'll take the time to help you whether I have time or not.

I did leave one guy sitting though...he didn't want help, he wanted somebody to do it for him. I parked right beside him, did my best to talk him through it while letting him watch me tarp mine...and he just sat there until I was done...then said, "looks good...come help me with mine." (his problem was tarping in heavy wind...load of sheet rock)

I looked at him, shook my head...got in my truck and left. (You can't help those who won't help themselves)...I don't see how he made it through orientation!

yes but not the plug in ones. not sure of the minimum wattage, but all of the new cascadias they are getting have inverters in them already.

1,000 watts minimum to have an inverter installed...it must be installed at a Maverick shop...you pay them for the installation and parts involved, which is $250 if I remember correctly.

If you change trucks they will move the inverter free of charge...

..just finished up reading this entire thread, spent all day Sunday & got up to pg.80 frm pg.1, then finished the remaining posts this morn'g! Lots of good info here & have 1 question for any Mav driver with over 1 yr. driving there; anyone remember a guy named RedCoat? He spent 1 yr. in truckers hell driving for Covenant & then went to Maverick, his wife made all the posts for him & updated all his experiences for about 6 months. He had taken quite a few pics of his loads & posted them on his thread which was interesting. Notarps I know u posted there too, have you heard anything else about him & is he still working there? I'm just curious as to what he's doing now & if he's still driving...there are so many Mav drivers posting on this thread now I just wondered if any of you have ever met or heard of him. He's from the U.K. & not a U.S. citizen yet or wasn't the last i had heard, but he is married to an American citizen.

I remember her posting for him, but never met him. To tell you the truth until you mentioned it I had forgotten all about him. The only drivers I ever met at maverick that was from outside of CONUS was a driver that had a austrailain accent and one that had an accent like arnold (ahhhnold).

..curiosity got the best of me & finally found the original thread by RCwife, it was buried in the "favorite trucking co." threads titled 'Maverick from a wife's perspective' and was started on 8-29-09 and her last post was on 2-21-2010.. had forgotten how many members that are posting here now were replying to her posts back then; Ridgerunner, Sarge26044, sewerman, bamanation, dollylama, along with notarps & a few i noticed from JimtheHut too before he even started his thread here.

..anyway I went to RCwife's profile to see if she had started any other threads since then & ran across a picture she added one of her & RedCoat before he started driving, so i will add it here & if any of the Mav drivers here recognize him let us know if he is still there driving for Maverick.. thanks.. oh & i enlarged this one just a bit from the original..

Yes he is still with maverick. He is on light-duty status. When he gets off light duty. He is going, on the sand.
