It just occurred to me, that on the west bound side going down Cabbage, at the overlook turnout, Monday morning (Nov 14) at just before sunrise, that spot would yield a KILLER super moon shot over the Pendleton area, although twilight from the sun coming up and still behind the mountain range might make for a little less twilight then one would prefer [to photograph with landscape foreground visible], it would still be an awesome sight to behold in the hour or so before sunrise.

Doesnt matter if you're delivering local only.Oregon wants to see 6 chains! Have been "Chains Required on Mount Hood when the road was "practically bare".Tearing up asphalt.Noisy ,they will sit at top of the hill and "tear $500 out of your pocket" if you ignore their chain law.

From their web site I copy/paste this
I take this to mean if conditions get marginal, and they signify a zone "snow zone", you will have to be in possession of chains, even if "chains required" is not currently in force.

However, I don't think OR is like CO where you must have chains, regardless of weather conditions, during certain months, on certain stretches of interstate
