As for endorsment's, you only apply for the one's you want and/or need for a company. Haz-Mat is the most common for most companies. If you don't plan on pulling tanker's, double's, triples, or hauling passenger's then I wouldn't even worry about it but a lot of companies will want you to have the Haz-Mat. When and if I ever do get my Class A that's all I am getting on mine is HM.

You lost me on the manual part. Please explain. Are you talking about the truck's or the CDL book's?

Yea, hit me with what you have. I might not be able to answer them all but I'll do my best. Remember these manual's may vary from state to state so thing's may not be on the same pages.
Just list your questions to the sections you have and put what the subject of matter is in a "( )" field so I'll know what to look for.

My CDL manual only has 11 sections.

    As follow's:

    Section 1. Introduction
    Section 2. Driving safely
    Section 3. Transporting cargo safely
    Section 4. Transporting passengers
    Section 5. Air brakes
    Section 6. Combination vehicals
    Section 7. Doubles and Triples
    Section 8. Tank vehicals
    Section 9. Hazardous Materials
Section 10. Pre-trip vehical inspection test
Section 11. On-road driving (how you will be tested)

What are section's 12 and 13 in your book? Are they any of the above listed?

If you asking about "do you have to study these"? Yes.

Out of the list I made above you have to study and learn part's: 1,2,3,5,6,9,10, & 11.

What kind of truck do you plan on driving? If you don't want to pull tanker's or double's/triple's then sections 7 & 8 don't apply to you but you can get them at a later date if you wish.

If you are not driving a bus or something alike then section 4 also does not apply to you, but you can get it later on down the road if you wish.
Basically only study for the vehical you plan to drive. The rest would be a waste of time if you don't plan on driving them.

List your manual like I did mine because it seem's like your's has some extra's in there.

i will more than likely be driving a reefer and sections: 12,13,14 are

    section 12 on-road driving test.
12 how you will be tested

section 13 missori commercial driver license information

so if i drive reefer i do not have to worry about TANKER or DBL TRPLE am i correct thank you for replying back

Ahhh ok, your manual is the same thing just mixed in a different order and a few more sections instead of wrapping those other thing's into their own section. No, if your going to pull an ice box (reefer) then you don't need any of that other stuff. Some companies do haul haz-mat in reefer's so it's better to have the HM endorsement. Other than that your on the right track.

I don't know yet. I haven't filled out an app. for Prime yet. I was told by my parent's that Prime "forces" you into the lease program because they don't have company trucks. I think the recruter feed them a line of ####. All I know is this day in age, I only want to drive for a company. Screw paying for a truck, fuel, tire's and all that other crap. I see a few other companies that make you pay a "fee" for the truck like GoTrans. $300.00 fee for the truck and it has to be CLEAN when they get it back or you don't get it back. They were refusing to give him his money after we scrubbed on that #### truck. He got other truck's from them before that were trashed out but after cleaning this one before turning it in they still didn't want to give him his clean return fee. He finally got it but didn't get all of it.

I don't want a company like this either. I'll keep mine #### and span but I'm not going to pay a fee for it. I'm not sure about Prime yet but it does sound good because you can show up with no money in hand except for personal items you may need like shampoo, soap, snack's drinks, etc. Other than that it sound's like a good deal but I have to double check and make sure they won't force you into a lease or make you pay anything for the company truck.

Right now I'm looking at a grant and waiting on a response. I hope I can get it as it would help me out in the long run without killing my small pocket's for out of town trip's as to where I could do it right here. But for now, no, I won't be going. I've been to Prime once when we were dropping off the truck and ended the lease. We drove into the shop (very nice and clean) dropped the key's in the attendant's hand said he could have it and walked out and haven't been back sense.
