I have a question for the life of me I keep forgetting to ask. Now I know I'm pretty #### desprit at this point but I have to ask. When you go out with an instructor, the milage you get paid for, does any of that go into helping pay for his/her truck? If so, I'll have to rethink about it. But more than likely either way I would still take it if I can get it. I'll just have to make sure I play thing's cool and not sound despirt. Then again, I'll leave that as a last resort if I REALLY have to.

Oh no. I was talking about the money you make per mile while your on the road after training after you have your full CDL doing your 60,000 mile's with them.

As for my name, no, never played with any skunk's lol. There was a company called Dick Simon Trucking Inc which is now Central Refrigerated. Their fleet consisted of all Freightliner FLD120's, Century's and Columbia's with Cat, Cummins, and Detroit motor's. All of the truck's were black most with white/red pin stripe on the side's bordering the sleeper and some even on the side of the hood. But the company logo was a white outlined skunk on the black paint holding a flag with hearts on it.
Way back the flag used to have a skull and cross bones butthey changed it and I forget why but they changed it over to two different sized heart's. One heart was for Dick Simon the owner himself, and the other's were for his other family member's who worked with the company.

2590 was the truck number of the 99' Freightliner FLD120 we had. Cummins N14+. 234" wheel base. I took great pride in this truck. It's the smoothest riding truck I've been in yet and best looking one. Dick Simon was a really good company and I have never heard a complaint one about them even to this day. The went out of business after one of their driver's managed to get through the background check who had serious mental problem's and had a grudge againest the state of Cali so one night he ran his truck through the parking lot right up the front steps and head on into the state capitol building at 65mph. He had that truck topped out when he hit. It burst into flames on impact but people stated they could hear him screaming for a very short time in the cab. I'll have to find the link's to the video's of servalence cameras that caught it all on tape. Somewhere here I even have picture's that I took of the truck after it had been hauled back to the yard in SLC. I'll try and find them and get them scanned on here.

It's just sad that some loony bin put such a good company under the dirt like that. We felt the loss of the company so hard that it felt like loosing a family member. It was a personal thing. Because of Dick Simon, they are the reason why I'm so picky about companies because they were hard to beat. Good mile's, decent pay, great dispatcher's, very family like and we even walked into the dispatcher room and gave him a birthday gift for all his hard work.

Oh, Mr. Simon his family and the whole workforce with the exception of a hand ful were really nice laid back people. It's that one driver they let slip through the cracks that did all these people wrong.

answer is yes and no let me explain you are garunteed no less then 600 from prime, now if he your trainer is company prime is paying you your 600 plus any overage. now if hes like me a lease operator i pay your wages to prime out of the trk revanue ,you get payed for all miles ran by both of yous etheir way.if you get a good trainer you should be able to easlly make over the 600 mark after about your thrid week , remember your trainer has to feel you out to see where your at and get comfortable with you.i have payed out as much as 900 in one week plus i share the money if we unload it. and on the extra drops .i cant speak for otheirs on that part that is my deal as long as my student shows he is trying.i had one guy that was averaging 1000 a week but we ran hard and he really put his all in it .
