SWIFT means Swing Wide it's a Fricking Trailer. Other than that, just good luck. Stay between the lines and upshift, downshift, time permitting. Also, it is a short test drive, no time limit, hence no rush.
Heading to Covenant Orientation in Chattanooga, TN on the 27th of April. Any advice?

Don't stress -- everyone wants you to pass the road test. Just swing wide when turning and don't shift while going over railroad tracks & you'll be ok. Afterall, you will be going with a trainer for a month so they don't expect perfection...
-
Hey good luck. If team driving doesn't work out then you can try srt or star transportation for solo driving. I might be in chattanooga tomorrow so who knows i might see you.

I'm at the hotel here by Waffle house. Man this isn't the nicest hotel I've stayed in lol. The road test was nothing like what I expected. I figured it'd be more than one right turn and things of that nature but I got all my really important stuff done already so today should fly by. You make it to Chattanooga?
-
Im in chattanooga right now. They sent us here because our truck was getting traded in for a new one. They gave us a brand new spankin 2015 freightlinere evolution.
It has the onguard crash mitigation system...really dont like it already, makes annoying sound everytime you turn the key. Suppose to prevent tailgating and increase following distance butbmakes a very annoying sound.
Saw my trainer here as well, and alot of other people i know. -
You at the terminal or hotel?
-

Well everybody, I've finished the orientation process and I'm just waiting for everything to be finalized so I can rereceive my ID number. I can honestly say the orientation was very well planned and stayed on schedule. We were told what was going to happen and it happened. The schedule that we were given was how it went. I can say that in coming here they have welcomed with open arms and show respect. It's then up to you to not ruin it and show them you have the values you have told them you have. I'm going to start a new thread following my journey through training and so on so forth. I'll let everyone know the name of the new thread so you can follow if you'd like. Thanks everyone! Safe travels.
FatDaddy Thanks this.
