Alright here we go, about to head out on my first run with these guys. Spent the morning asking questions and trying to get a better idea of how this place works, turns out that the owner of all of the trucks is the only representative from this company that actually lives stateside. Their office is in Europe.... wasn't expecting that. All the trucks are parked at the yard here outside of Chicago and they use this address as the terminal address with the home office being overseas, I don't even know how to feel about that LOL. Anyway about to deadhead to Hartland Wisconsin from Lemont, IL picking up a load that's headed to Florida it's only 20 ft long and 12,000 lb so they're going to find another partial to go with it. So thats 125 deadhead miles, the load is going to fort meyers Florida so thats 1,415 miles and pays $3700 so thats roughly $2.61 a mile to the truck give or take plus whatever miles and pay for another partial if theyre able to find one along the way.

    G13Tomcat Thanks this.

Hate to say it but when money is owed etc etc the excuse will be "Europe this Europe that" everytime.... Just part of the game lots of these Chicago outfits play. Use caution my friend

G13Tomcat and TB John Thank this.

Worked for a company (not truck related) that did business in Europe, some companies, eastern Europe and Greece in particular were very slow to pay their bills sometimes well over 120 days.
