yeah I think yeah I think you messed up a little bit LOL I'll do the math here in a few minutes when I stop to take pictures for the other guy that wanted some pictures and I'll see you if what I come up with this what you came up with but I think your process was a little bit off or at least different from the way I would have try to figure it out

I find it funny that non open deck guys are saying how serious the 50/150 mile load checks are. Shouldn’t really have a load shift ever, but until you’ve done it yourself you don’t really know. Trust your securement to hold and do it right and you won’t have to worry.

I have done it myself. The 50-150 rule is very important. And personally I've never had a load shift, but it could happen to anyone who makes a mistake, gets in a hurry or is in over their head. I had of hell of a trainer who made dam sure I knew what I was doing before he turned me loose on the world.

    Alright, numbers.

    Load 1 $3700
    Load 2 $1650
    Total gross $5350

    Gross $5350
    - $615 fuel
    - $250 estimated tolls
Totals $4485 net to the truck

    40% of $4485 is $1794 !

Ok so if that figure holds and i get $1794 for drivi g less than 2k miles this week im gonna shat myself. Thats literally 3 days work, Monday was nothin but a drig test and moving into the truck. Tuesday i picked up load one but got sick so shut it down for the day. so ill literally ha e wed, thur and friday as working days. Tjey gave me 500 on tuesday, which i assume was reimbusement for travel, hotel and re tal car. They sent 500 today and said id get the rest monday for delivering both loads tomorrow. If that all pans out and i see $1794 for a slack week im gonna be chilling here for awhile lol

Ah, I whacked the 40% too quick.. i'm a trucker, not a professor, haha!! I was close, however.... lol!

Man I really hope this works for you. That's bigger numbers than I pull, running straight under my O/O boss legally for 8 years. Hope it works, sincerely.

Stick with tarps and chains, imho! Be safe~!

Make sure you get a copy of the ez pass bill. It's amazing how a $25 toll jump up to $65 when someone else is.putting together a bill.
