The process would likely be that once you submitted your application and were accepted, you would ride the bus to one of our terminals, go through orientation and then go out with a trainer for 40k miles of TNT. After that was over, likely around 2 months or so, you'd get your own truck.

    Omarrj Thanks this.

    Time for an update
    Been here almost 2 months
I'd say Prime is still a good company for newbies.

I've had a few breakdowns and they all been handled fast sorta...I had an airleak since I received the truck a day I think the previous driver(s) never purged the air tanks so they got rotted. The TA fixed it a little and springmo claimed they fixed everything but I still have an airleak which at this point I have given up on it getting fully fixed since it looks like they don't want to replace the tanks.

Also my apu went down the first day I got it back from springmo saying they replaced the belts and fixed it lmao so we will see where they route me to.

Miles have been kinda slow but it's the slow time.
I got chewed out by my fm for letting my rpms getting to 1400. He told me to lugg the motor even if I'm climbing vail, the sisters etc and never let it get to 1400 going up hills or down hill. (To you rookies, it's better to blow/redline your motor going downhill then burning your brakes) I have the lightweight with the dd13 so the Jakes don't hold for crap, I'll stab brake in 7th or 8th depending on grade.

Not sure if my truck is a lemon but the only time I can get 7mpg or better is on flat land or empty and I never go faster than. 58 since my last chewing out. Granted I never been late to a load and have a perfect safety record with 4 yrs experience.

In all the trucking companies I've been at I have never been chewed out for being at 1400 rpm lol.

Since I've been trucking I never made less than 60k a year but at this rate it looks like I won't but I expect things to pick up so it's way too early to project. Will update later
