I just completed trucking school on 7/12/2013 and finally got my CDL. I start orientation with ROEHL Monday 7/22/2013 at there Stocbridge Ga, location. And exited but also nervous as hxxx. Anybody else here that will be starting there with me? Also was wanting to hear from anyone who has recently completed the orientation who can help with what to expect and what they want us to do with the rental car after we get there Sunday. Thanks.

I'm heading out for Ellenwood GA to start Monday the 29th. Yes a little nervous too. Never been OTR, except for school. Just drove on military installations as an AMMO Hauler

Well I am sure that this will ease some of your worry, I know I would have liked to have heard it. The hotel they put you in is nice. All your meals are covered Roehl provides your lunch and dinner and the hotel has a decent breakfast ready every morning. Also all of the instructors here seem to be really good at what they do and so far everything thing that I was told by my recruiter has been spot on. The biggest challenge for me is going to be learning ho to navigate all of these hills and learning the tranny of the trucks that they are using. The school I went to used an 8speed and all of the ones here are 10 so the gear pattern is a little diferent.

Well anyway I hope that helps you some and good luck to you.

Thanks alot, sounds good. I guess I am fortunate, I grew up on a cattle ranch in Idaho and have driven just a few different rigs in my time.
The 10 speed is a little different, but easier than some I've driven. good luck to you also.

Drive safe and maybe we'll be seeing you
