That's good, he's probably very busy running.

Looks like I'll be joining the team on Sept 21st. in springmo. Hopefully everything works out and I get through and get my CDL. Late in life to start over but these days it getting more common place.

Well if anyone is looking for me, I left Prime today after me and my Fm decided this wasn't a good match, I had been thru 2 trainers and we decided that it wasn't going to work out, If you want to become a co-driver for a team and run hard till you are out of training then be my guest but I didn't go there for that. Thanks. TD.

I'm sorry to hear that TD. Hope you will find a good outfit to run for. I'm not looking forward to running team either but I hope I can make it through it. Hope I get a good trainer that is compatible with my life style.

k5, most of these guys are just out for the $$ What was I thinking when I thought anything else? I should have just put my jealous cap on and thought about what I was doing, I had even heard that there are guys who would buy you meals and stuff.. HA not these two guys this last one provided me with one shower in the whole week I was with him... He had to smell me too...:biggrin_25521:, I was ###### if I was going to pay for a shower when he had the points on his cards:biggrin_25523:. Take Care. TD.

That really sucks TD. I was one of them saying that the guys would pay for food and stuff and also let you use the showers off of there cards. Usually (not sure anymore) but we would go into a truck stop and he would use a shower on his card and tell them that it was a team so they would give him 2 since there was 2 of us.

Hope you find somewhere good to go to. Good luck

    truckerdaddy24 Thanks this.

That's where feedback to your FM comes in. You should have his number - give the man a call and let him know what's going on. Yup there are jokers out there who will pull that kind of c.r.a.p. Part of the trainers job is to introduce you into how life works as a trucker... including how you get a shower. OTOH, you need to realize that sometimes in a team operation, it may be a couple of days before you have the slack in a schedule to take the time for that - even happens when you're driving solo.

    Drop the dime.

IP I have already tied to the knot so to speak or maybe untied the knot, I'm no longer there, I'm fully aware of the scheduling thing, He went in and got his shower just was being a "P" about "giving" me one.. I dropped the dime I may call Mr. Lowe to see how many heads I can cause to roll, also to check into the "Open Door" policy, because these FM's think that these guys do know wrong... well I think running on my log is against something.. like DOT REGS?... Thanks.

Sorry it didn't work out man. The deal with trainers goes back to the basic integrity of the person. Never had that problem with my guy when I went through that myself - and the folks I personally know who are training wouldn't behave that way. I'd talk to Don Lacey as well.

The open door policy is for current employees of Prime. I don't think you'll have much luck getting through to the president of the company as a disgruntled ex-employee (especially with less than 1-month at the company).

I read your Prime bashing thread on the "report a bad company here" section, and subsequently gave a detailed response on that thread. I don't think Prime is 100% at fault here. In fact, I'm not even so sure Prime is 10% at fault.

I really am sorry things didn't work out between you and Prime, especially since I was one of the people who encouraged you to come over. But judging from the PM you sent me, along with the thread you started, I really don't put much blame on Prime. My reasoning is on the other thread.

    Good luck to you...

some times you just have to put your bigboy pants on and bite the bullet
if you need a shower--pay for it--dont depend on somebody else to give you one
true--nobody should be running on your log book--he shouldnt have to--you do it--ask lots of questions
there are no dumb questions--part of training is also to see if you can do the job
true--some people arent good trainers--maybe not easy to get along with--but you have to stick it out---if something like training you find hard--you will get eaten up pretty quick on the road--not a very forgiving place
