Alabama now is requiring dozer loads to have a pilot car. Pulled one 10 ft wide, sticking over on the passenger side only and had to get an escort. 10 feet. Another driver needed one for 9'6 wide.
Heads up, gang

wow it must be just for dozers cuz i came through there yesterday 10ft on the money and they let me right through with just flags signs and lights

Yes, just for dozer blades. I pulled 11'8 wide hubs through there and never needed anything. I asked why and finally was told that this was something new required by the state. Unbelievable.

Where have you been?
That law for dozer blades has been on Al. books for at least 15 years or more...ralph Thanks this. -

I roam all of North America. From the Territories to Mexico. They called me about a pilot car and couldnt tell me why I needed one for 10 ft load.
