Heartland express crashes into home; driver with no CDL flees the scene

I feel sorry for the good guys at that company .. if a guy like this can slip through the cracks I suspect DOT will target them for a bit

 

How did a company as big as heartland manage to have a driver on board with no cdl?

 

His license probably got suspended somewhere along the way. Still very irresponsible on that driver’s part.

How do you crash into a house while bobtailing is my question?

 

The officer stated the guy they’re looking for did not have a CDL. So, was the deserted passenger the assigned driver? Was there impairment? Someone (or sometwo) has some ‘splaining to do.

 

You're right, I wonder if he knew his license was suspended. I got shut down at the Knoxville scale because of a suspended license. Luckily I was not far from home in which I could get it taken care of

 

My gut tells me the licensed driver was sleeping and let his buddy drive the truck. Or, he picked up a lizard who drove while trying to get home or make a score.

That will brand him a Federal Felon. And rack a stack of new charges.

I would very much like to know how a non CDL Licensed person got ahold of a 18 wheeler.
