Would you be brave enough to tell us what Heartland's annual turnover rate is?

Not to be coy, but from what I gather from our vendor partners that also work with other carriers, I can share that it's better than many others.

However, it's not as low as we'd like it to be. And that's what we'll continue to work toward chipping away on.

Why pussyfeet around with it. If Heartland gave a #### about it, they would set an ambitious goal to cut in in half in 2 years. Do you have a driver relations manager? If I turned in my resignation, Sue would be on the phone ASAP with me trying to see what she can do to make me stay.

Does your CEO drive at all? The Chairman and partial owner of West Side still drives. He runs a load most weekends. He knows what his drivers have to deal with out here.

Thank You. Heartland could have had me as a driver. But heartland has no pay guarantee and I have never heard a Heartland driver give a positive opinion about Heartland.

He may really not be allowed to disclose that publicly.

The number is relative. Doesn't really matter, right? Better than most. Not as good as we'd like it to be.

Yes, our Driver Communications team is truly tireless. They're a direct line into the headquarters for anything. They check in with our fleet proactively. And, any time we arrive at a resignation, they're there to listen and work toward a resolution.

With elogs now...i can't see why co's can't pay hourly for sitting in docks and such...elogs would be a time sheet..then drivers would know that theyre getting compensated properly...when a driver is at a customer they can go on line 4 and be paid hourly to sit and be unloaded...no excuse anymore with elogs now.

    DoubleO7 Thanks this.

That's a compelling idea, thanks. Possibly even already being discussed.

We've been on ELDs since 2011. We're developing some proprietary tech coming soon as well. The next few years will be interesting on that front, to say the least.

Does HL still advertise .52 cpm? I found It weird in 2010 a driver started asking me about my company. So I asked why was he looking for another job. Once he explained everything, I told him to run from that place.
