I'm a heartland driver. Here is my experience here as a regional driver, I get less than 2000 miles a wk, I have to fight to get home every two wks,I sit countless hrs at shipper?receivers, then you have to go to terminal and sit even more. I've been in jax,FL waiting 24hrs for a service and over got 550 miles for the wk.stay away unless u just wanna come sit in a truck to say you got a job!
Heartland needs to be in the BAD company list

No they lyed about pay I get 41cpm, and LESS than 2000 miles, actually past month more like 1200. I tried talking to them about system they said I would get 5 cpm more but I'd be looking at 4 wks out. All they care about is filling a truck.also don't listen to truthin, or chrome dome. Maybe they're the only 2 out of 2900 trucks getting miles, but I listened to them and now's it the exact opposite of what they posted.

I appreciate it, rambler. I really need more consistent miles than that. If it was 2000 x .48, I could maybe make it work, but I really need to keep it close to a grand a week in order to keep things moving in the right direction at home. I am looking at a couple companies in Missouri that might be able to work for me. I am trying to do as much research as possible on potential companies, before taking the plunge. I don't want to get into a job hopping situation. Good luck, and drive safe.

Definitely do research on Orr companies cause they will look you in the eyes and tell you a bold face lie

Yep, it is unfortunate that has become the method of operation for so many companies. I have to believe there are still some good ones, though, that run their business with integrity. You might not always like what they tell you, but it will be the truth. That's what I am looking for. One day maybe some of those other companies may realize that they can retain more good drivers by treating them with the same respect and consideration that they would like to receive.

Hi, I have worked for them for 8 months, they will run you with miles and even heavy loads (most often). They want you to sleep at the shipper or cons more so then at rest areas and truck stops. The reason is so you don't talk with other drivers. Another thing they like to do is, say you start your clock at 0400, del your load at 0700 and then go to truck stop 15min down the road. Your DM will then tell you to take your 10 hr break now to pick up your next load in 10 to 12 hrs, this is just after coming off a 10 hr break. They claim they are for the drivers, BS, they don't care about the drivers at all, they only care about their driver milage bonus their drivers drive. At a company picnic outing, I had overheard some driver managers talking about their drivers and one stated, "they are just dumb truck drivers, they don't know anything except driving" If a holiday comes up, they will send you in the opposite direction of home and they will send another driver toward the area where you live. Again, they are not driver friendly and would not reccomend this company to anyone.

Some of these posts are purely B.S., if they even know what the heck they are talking about. Yes I will call you on it. Come on, ridiculous! You/re only getting 1200 miles a week?? tell me another freaking joke, cause that one was FUNNY!!!!!!
