It can be, or it can be a real pain. If the trailer is charged with coolant you should be okay. If you have to charge it with the truck then there are a few more steps. I have never been able to fill a trailer with the truck the first time. The system develops an air pocket and it purges when you drive which cause the coolant level to drop. I usually have to pull over 2 or 3 times until it is good. So, if you charge it, do it at a truck stop in a rural area because you will have to pull over on the side of the road.

Also, carry extra coolant or just fill up your jugs with water in case you develop a leak.

Once you have it right, check both hoses, they should both be hot. That means that the coolant is flowing throughout the system.

You can also tell if it's flowing by your trucks temperature gauge. It will drop significantly when you first hook it up. Truck generally runs a bit cooler in my experience as well unless you get an air pocket. Then it overheats.

Should flow immediately... you got valves open....?

I had a set on mid frame where you hook lines and another set on water pump

Na, for 14 hours I wouldn't have even thought about hit.. u will be good.. their has to be some valve not open or line is clogged.. to make sure it's not clogged on your tractor or lines off tractor turn on the valves so it will flow to the end of the line and use a tool like a screw driver etc to push the nipple inside the line to be sure coolant is flowing out.. that way you know it's something on the trailer inop and not your tractor..

From what ive been told from a shipper:
Tank will lose 2 degrees F per day on average.

    Quala says for heating:
It will heat up 1 degree per hour, on steam/hit. Some products after intial 3-5 hours will start to heat up faster rate than 1 degree per hour. Average is 1 per hour.
