Thanks, I don't have that in my tractor. I've been thinking about running a second plug setup from the tractor all the way back to control a few things. I was thinking about a 6 pin round like some pickup and livestock trailers used to use, so the wouldn't get switched around at the gooseneck.

Just a quick random question, but what do you guys normally charge for detention pay? I'm currently at a job site with a load and have been waiting for almost 3hrs now, so the thought just popped in my head.

I always wondered what this switch was for, just had one of those "ah ha" moments.

Seriously though, yes, I have that.

What size of setup do you have on the thoughts for detention pay..
For our 8 axle we try and get 100.00 an hour after 2 hours.. The old place used to be 4 hours. Here they say 2 hours free and then start billing them

I run a 7 axle setup. I was thinking 75 or 100 an hour after 2hrs was fair.

I have that switch in my cab to and I know what its for, I was wondering how you wired it to the trailer. In the years before ABS we would switch the 7th pin to control our stinger lock pin. My trailer doesn't have ABS so I could switch that pin if I want. I've been thinking about running a whole other plug and wire group back so I can control other things also.

I run a whole second plug that controls all the extra's, strobe lights, lift axles, dump valves etc. That way instead of having to tap into the trailer for OD lights, strobes and such I have a female plug that I plug into my extra cord which allows me to switch everything.
