Cant get the DT12 it is only offered in the 5700 right now... The ultra shift plus is very different from the Eaton auto shift...

Tried one out yesterday and they guys really liked it. We have always had Allison but for this truck after trying one out we going to get the Ultra shift plus 18 speed 600hp 1850TQ DD16.

Get a full double frame ,, as for steer get 18,000#,,for drives get 46,000 with full lockers and a lift axle,,check the states you will haul in ,,some allow 60,000# on a tridum no matter the axle space,,some only allow 60,000# if the tridum axles are spaced 5ft apart,, if you will gross over 140,000# suggest heavier 5th wheel,,of course a 18spd trans with a trans cooler and if you stay 140,000 and under 3.73 rears will be OK , something to think about 315x22.5 tires on the drive axles . WORD OF CAUTION ON STEER TIRES most wide based steer tires are only rated at 55MPH MAX!
    At least 500Hp too.

As for a sleeper might be good to get at least a small sleeper, many places have curfew restrictions and a place for the driver to relax is a good thing,,also you never know when a trip out of town or if it gets dark and a driver might have to lay over for a night,

Never heard of running a 315 on the drives I think you would have to run a 9" wheel for that tire I don't think they will fit on a standard 8.25, what tire do you run in that position? 425 Bridgeston floats are rated at 65, that's what we run.

315's on drives?! never heard of such a thing unless your doing off road running. that would be an expensive endeavor. I run 315 on steer rated at 65 mph full load and 16 ply on drives. I wont even say what hp I'm runnin!

Our roll off trucks around here run 315s on the drives. You can run 11r tires but the load rating is less than the 315s.

Drive has back problems you may want to consider a Boss seat.

I don't even go on heavy hauling road trips very often, but when I do a little sleeper would sure be handy about half the time!
