Have a 2011 Volvo VNL. Truck rides horrible, replaced all front leaf spring/shackle bushings and shocks. seems rougher that before. I do have coil springs under rear of the cab and not air bags from the factory. Looking for ideas of how to possibly upgrade to air bags on the cab or how to go about it. Any help would be appreciated.

I wouldn't do the air bag cab thing until you find out what's causing the poor ride. Volvos have the nicest ride, even without air ride cabs. I'd look at the rear suspension bags, over inflation can cause rough ride. Where's the 5th wheel? Too much weight on the steer can cause a rough ride too.

Thank you for the input. Will check the rear air bags and see what the pressure is. Truck is set up as a potable water truck no fifth wheel. Rides worse unloaded.

Oh, you didn't say it was a straight truck, and may not even have air ride on the back. In that case, I would recommend the air ride cab. If a spring ride, nothing will help. Poor ride unloaded could mean several things. Bent rim, bad tire, bent driveshaft, engine mounts, even a bad harmonic balancer on the engine can cause rough ride. Driver just going to have to put up with it,,, is what many of my bosses would have said. Good luck.
