Have a 2011 Volvo VNL. Truck rides horrible, replaced all front leaf spring/shackle bushings and shocks. seems rougher that before. I do have coil springs under rear of the cab and not air bags from the factory. Looking for ideas of how to possibly upgrade to air bags on the cab or how to go about it. Any help would be appreciated.

I wouldn't do the air bag cab thing until you find out what's causing the poor ride. Volvos have the nicest ride, even without air ride cabs. I'd look at the rear suspension bags, over inflation can cause rough ride. Where's the 5th wheel? Too much weight on the steer can cause a rough ride too.

Thank you for the input. Will check the rear air bags and see what the pressure is. Truck is set up as a potable water truck no fifth wheel. Rides worse unloaded.

, is what many of my bosses would have said. Good luck.

Checked wheels and changed front tires with no change to ride quality. Truck does have air suspension. New cab bushings, checked motor mounts, ride height, kingpins, wheel bearings can't seem to find what the hell it is. Only thing left is to try and convert to air ride cab if possible or some aftermarket set up.
Anyone had hard ride issues with this type. The ride is harsh as if the suspension is too stiff, you can feel every transition in the roadway. I have a 2011 water truck VNL with sleeper and it rides like a dream. If anyone has ideas would be greatly appreciated. -
Air in the drivers seat? I drove a VNL for a while, smoothest truck I’ve ever driven.

I’m guessing it at least smooths out with a load of water on though right?

Even installed new seat, ride is a touch better loaded. Still horrible.
