I wouldn't do the air bag cab thing until you find out what's causing the poor ride. Volvos have the nicest ride, even without air ride cabs. I'd look at the rear suspension bags, over inflation can cause rough ride. Where's the 5th wheel? Too much weight on the steer can cause a rough ride too.

 

Oh, you didn't say it was a straight truck, and may not even have air ride on the back. In that case, I would recommend the air ride cab. If a spring ride, nothing will help. Poor ride unloaded could mean several things. Bent rim, bad tire, bent driveshaft, engine mounts, even a bad harmonic balancer on the engine can cause rough ride. Driver just going to have to put up with it,,, is what many of my bosses would have said. Good luck.
