Hello can someone please tell me where to add alcohol to brakes to avoid freezing in cold weather?

    Skip the torch, much quicker , not to mention safer just to smack the drum with a hammer. Do it with the tractor brakes set and the trailer brakes released, you will know when a brake releases.

    Get a capful of isopropyl alcohol and dump it in to gladhand holes after brakes are set, then push in your red/yellow handles.

    Then, in the next two weeks, change every valve on the trailer, been there done that.. Air brake antifreeze is cheap, and even too much of it will mess up the high dollar valve that runs the antilocks on trailers equipped with them.

    In 24 years of driving I have never needed to add anything to my air lines. If your air dryer is working properly, and you drain the system daily, you shouldn’t need to do anything.
