Hi everyone,
My name is Aaron and I am 27 years old, live in San Bernardino, Ca and am interested in becoming a truck driver. I did have some concerns though, like for instance I have 4 accidents on my driving record, the last one will be at 3 years in Nov of this year. I was told by a few people that in Ca accidents drop off your record at 3 years but I'm not sure if this is true, does anyone know for sure? also, a driving school told me trucking co only care about things that happened in the last 3 years, not sure if they just wanted my money. I really do want to become a trucker, I have always had a great deal of respect for them and the job they do, being a trucker is also a bit of a childhood dream of mine, my dad use to take us on alot of road trips and I alawys loved checking out the trucks, I even set up an antenna on the roof of my apartment complex when I was young and tried to chat with the truckers passing on the local Highways.
Even with the accidents on my record I am still going to try nd accomplish this, we'll see if the famous saying "If theres a will, theres a way" is true. I'm a very hard worker, very reliable and learn new things extremely fast. I really look forward to getting to know some of you ou there and learn as much as I can from those who have been there done that.
If anyone has any info on the driving record in CA can you please email me on here, I'm not sure yet how to get back and search comments on this thread. Also does anyone know of a good trucking co in so cal that accepts newbies?
Thank you very much.
Aaron
