Just wanted to say hello. I joined this site after reading it for several weeks. There is just so much information here.
A little about me: I have been hauling free standing beverage for over 22 years. For fun most people own a Jeep, or a Hot Rod, I own a 1997 Freightliner FLD120 SD Midroof 470HP, 9speed OD. It's my recreational play toy. We love to travel, so it is the ultamate tow vehical. It came about as a joke.
2 Years ago just before me and the wife got married, we bought a new 34ft fifth wheel, travel trailer. She sent a picture of it to her dad, and he replied, "You might want to buy a diesel to pull it with". So me being the smart ##### I am , I bought a diesel. When he showed up for the wedding, I told him I took his advise and bought a diesel, what do you think? He said I would fit in just fine with the family, and let me marry his daughter.

I don't want to ramble on too much, so thanks for letting me in. (I was getting tired of sitting on the porch)

Hi, Maxiomega. By free standing beverage do you mean pallets of cases and kegs in a load pattern of singles and doubles, not blocked in the center of the trailer by a temporary bulkhead? Been there, done that as a distributor driver. Common carrier drivers have a way of dumping the load within the trailer. Then, dock workers take photos and claims are filed.

Pallets of softdrinks, 12-packs, 2-liters, 20oz. Very unstable, unblocked. Drive it like grandma.
