Hello everyone. Just recently joined this forum to check out what truck driving is like in the States. I currently work for a small transport located in Sydney & have been there for about 2 and 1/2 years. The boss is great to work for, and the gear we are given is 1st rate. When people ask how do they get a job driving with our company, generally the answer is..."Wait until one of us retires or dies coz we don't leave!" And hey that's pretty true. Its a great job. I drive a T900 Kenworth with 550 Cat with 18spd RR. This truck was the last one produced in Australia, so is an absolute classic. I am looking at sometime soon coming to the USA to experience the driving over there & would really appreciate some help or suggestions in who are the best companies to work for, (or maybe also, who I should NOT work for!)
Cheers
Blondie
