CR England is not a good trucking company. Check out some of the threads on CR England. You can use the search feature at the top and set it for 'Threads' and see what comes up.

Thanks for all the answers. And I see by some answers, that CR is not well liked.lol I have to call Drivers Solutions on monday, and from what i see i have a few choices and it seems PAM would be a good choice. ANd like an old Army buddy has been telling me if i dont like it I wont have to stay, i will have to pay them back either way. He has been with Crete and I would say 90percent of what he is telling me sounds positive.. This site is amazing, i have been reading for days in between putting in apps to every CO school i can fine. WIsh thier were just one site that has all the Companys that have or pay for schools. Lots of sites say they have that but they dont!!! Also hope i can get past the blood pressuse test to be on the road ASAP and to be able to contribute to this site. So many questions and every manswer i have found on this site. thank you, Fiore

hey welcome to the boards and I have to agree with some of the other drivers the England did you a favor.

England stands for,( Every New Guy Leaves After Ninety Days), in trucker humor.
There are companies that will train you to get your cdl but you are better off getting from an accredited school. IMO

If i had the money and time I would go to a school, but I have little of each. ANd after spending 12 years in the Military and 12 working in a casino, i'm sure i can handel anything a company can put me to. If they are willing to pay for my school and treat me as well as i will treat them, I'll give them the time they ask for. But respect goes both ways. I have no place i call home and it will be at least a year until my future wifes gets to this country. So i plal to run as many 70 hour weeks as possible, and get everything i can out of the first year. But i'm not a fool and wont be treated like one for the $3000 or so it will cost. My friend at creat tells me good things and i will go there in a heart beat if i'm not treated right, NOT better just right.. Hope you all have a good weekend and enjoy traveing the greatest country on earth:)

There are alot of companies out there that will be glad to have you. You just have to find the one that best fits your needs. I have heard horror stories about CR England, so you might be safe to stay away from that company. You need to ask yourself some basic questions about you before you settle on any particular company. What type of freight do you want to haul? Where do you want to run? How important is hometime to you? The next step is to research companies that fit your needs and aspirations. look at their websites, talk to their drivers. I would even suggest getting in touch with the Owner Operator Independant Drivers Association. They have a website. They can answer alot of questions. I'm a company driver, but also a member of OOIDA. Don't get discouraged. You'll find the right company for you. Good luck.

Would there be a security problem showing your OOIDA membership number to get him a discounted membership ? If so he could wait until he has enough posts to PM and you could PM it to him .

Thanks , Lilbit . For the rest of this month OOIDA is offering the discounted membership so a referral isn't necessary but they do have a contest with good prizes for members with the most referrals . http://www.ooida.com/Benefits/Referrals/rules.htm

    Lilbit Thanks this.
