I'm a newlywed of a truck driver. He went back to truck driving (after 3 years off the road) on June 1st of this year and we got married June 11th of this year. With the company he works for we haven't really been able to spend much time together. Still trying to cope with him always being gone, so if there are any other wives out there I would totally being open to suggestions on how to cope!

Get permission from the truck owner to ride along with hubby for awhile. If you like the traveling, enroll in a reputable truck driving school and obtain your CDL. Then, approach hubby's current employer about team driving. If they do not offer it, locate a companies who do and apply for employment as a team. The two of you will be together, you will both get to see the country and will greatly increase your income. The only thing negative about this arrangement is if the two of you do not get along when together for long periods of time. However, two many un-protected trips into the sleeper:smt055 will bring about a swelling of the tummy and an early end to the team driving arrangement:3some:. Congratulations and Best Wishes for a long and happy life!

    Baack Thanks this.

    Hi and welcome!
You didnt say whether you have a job, or whether you have kids at home. If neither, then sure, go get your CDL and ride along!
But realistically, kids keep you at home, so I guess that you might want to prepare for being home alone as well at some stage.
Be sure to go visit the Ladies Room, there are a couple of threads running at the moment started by ladies in the same situation as you.:biggrin_25514:
