I have 4+ yrs of tractor trailer experience, no dui/dwi and no violations and im 26yrs old. BUT no OTR exp. I want to become an O/O but don't know if I can get hired. I applied with pam they require at least a yr of OTR exp. Im sure there is still hope. I'm interested in a dedicated route as an owner operator. any ideas???????????

you could just get your own DOT number and run under your own authority, or are you only trying to work as an OO through a company?

First do you mean L/O. Or O/O? Picking a company that pays .90¢ PM tells me you probably mean LO. Most companies won't hire you cause you have no OTR experience. It's an insurance thing. Those that will hire you might be iffy on the pay side. Do some research I'm sure you will find something. May have to go through training tho.

I can understand that. Most OO companies will require a year or more of exp. again it is an insurance thing. You might at worst have to do a year as a company man going OTR. Just an option, I just don't know any OO companies that will lease you on with less then a year of OTR. I'm not saying there are none out there. There is always one LOL

Much depends on the age of the truck.
Which state do you live in; city/state?

Do you already have your own truck? If so, what is it?
