Just finished my first week of CDL School, and got my permit today. I am going to a private school so I have options when I get my license as to which company I go work for.
I am looking for advise from drivers of the following companies, and advise for which companies are best for rookies.
I have pre-hires from the following:
Prime
Swift
Central
Schneider
I am also looking at the follow companies:
US Express
NTB
Werner
Roehl
Gordon
Now, I am leaning towards US Express, Schneider and Swift because they have hubs and/or drop lots close to my home for home time and I have no where to park my truck.
Any and all advise either here or thru a PM is greatly appreciated!

I would go with Schneider, because they seem to have very few driver complaints on here and they're dry freight. You can eventually move into O/O (not lease purchase) if you are so inclined.
BigJohn54 Thanks this. -
Schneider has a good rep, not sure about US Express, And you'll here alot of good and bad with (Swift) .
And you can't get any PM's till you have 50 posts , good luck -

From Family Expierence; I would have to say Prime; My uncle drove for them and loved it; but as 'sal' said; you'll hear up's and down's from every company...
Best of Wishes -
I noticed you had a pre-hire from Central.
I assume this is Central Refrigerated.
I do not have my CDL and when I talked with one of their recruiters, I was told that I would need to go thru their school to get my CDL. They would not recognize any other school.
Was the recruiter (gasp) lying to me? -
Yes Central Refrigerated.
The first time I talked to the recruiter I had the intention of going thru a company sponsored cdl course, but changed my mind later when i found a good local school.
The recruiter was irritated(to say the least) that I decided to go private but told me I could still come work for central, but would still have to go thru the training(not the cdl portion). Orientation, skills test, then otr with my trainer. Although he did not seem to interested in me once I told him I was going to a private school LOL.
