Are you serious?! I applied at Swift, Roehl, etc last year. I hear back from Roehl first, so I went with them. I got a letter from Swift a week after I accepted Roehl that I was accepted at Swift, and to call their number. I didn't respond. So by doing that, I'm considered fired?!! This is disturbing to say the least.

Make sure and check your DAC. I kid you not both Gainey and Swift put that I was hired and let go. Check out the website hireright. There should be a link on the main page of this forum. They won't email it to you. It took about ten days to get it in the mail and did not cost anything. I would go ahead and get it anyway just to make sure everything else jives!

CHRALB, When CAGEtrucker attended the orientation, he provided a pretty fluid day by day account of his activities. My guess is he found someplace to store his laptop while in class, and then updated his thread at the end of the day. CAGE can most likely provide some guidance.

That's a good question about where to post your training. This thread contains a vast amount of information from you and ORG, and also provides support and recommendations provided by a growing number of TTR members (and fans).

If the accounts of your training could be directly associated to these posts, it would be a useful information source for anyone considering entering into this field.

Aftershock, so far, this thread is definitely a "must read" for newbies.:biggrin_25525:

You know? (he said with a red face), with all that's been going on, I didn't even think to PM or just post the question about the laptop to Cage...LOL OK, silly me. I'll do so. I really would like to do just that (a day to day) and heck, might even be interesting to see how closely (or not) our accounts of orientation are.

Although I "suspect" they'd be pretty similar as he and I seem to have the same basic attitude about keeping it real and fair. I find too often that some folks seem to lean one way or the other based on personal "attitude"

In fact, after roughly 7 or 8 months of research into "finding a good carrier", I've come to the conclusion that you could take two people, working for the same company, give them identical loads, picked up and dropped off at exactly the same times and places and one would have a good experience while the other had a bad one.

No matter the occupation, LIFE is all about how we see it and the attitude we have.

    Oh my...LOL....I'm rambling here. :biggrin_25525:

Something about all this just doesn't make sense. Do you have any idea what kind of lawsuit they'd be opening themselves up to by doing what you claim??

A driver's DAC IS THEIR LIFELINE! If this actually happened to you chompi (and I promise I'm not claiming it didn't) then you should SUE the pants off both of them. No lawyer in their right mind would refuse that case on a contingency basis.

Chris would get ya a Garbage Plate if you are so inclined!! LOL!!:biggrin_2559: Seems to be the offering from Rochester that we are famous for!!

BTW How MUCH COFFEE have you had tonight??? Geez you are on a post marathon!

I read alot of Cages' stuff too good stuff! And I think even if you and ORG post similar ''days'' no day driving will ever be the same and as you said, 2 drivers same company load etc-one has good day other for SH*%! still think you both should post and compare notes!!!!

So should I spend my time and money and try to sue them? Or do you think it would be better just to pass along my experience to others? Some how I believe either one of them is a waste of my time! I believe like Aftershock I have put my two cents worth into this thread and am now leaving it to others. Good luck guys!

Well no, I said a "contingency" basis which means you wouldn't pay a lawyer unless you won. I'm sorry you feel that way but if that's your choice chompi, I wish you the best.

Hmmmm...now what was it I was just saying about "attitudes" in my other post?? :biggrin_2557:

Wow, I have to play some catch up on this thread myself, I can't keep up.

What's going on, seems like a bit of an argument here? I'll read it through and check it out, but let's please be civil to each other, this thread is important to me.

    Thanks. :biggrin_255:
