    Hi! I am 9 months into this business as a company driver and make no mistake about it, i never had any misconceptions of becoming a millionaire. I am running an average of 1,500-2,300 miles/wk and i am capable of running much more. I am coming up short on bills every week and cannot get to the point of NOT living of my 30/day cash advance for food. My checks are averaging 300-550/week. I sit for 5 hr load/unloads 2-3 times a week and then have to hunt for an empty wasting more time. I am literally starving and going under with my bills. I cannot work for a great company cause before i became a truck driver, i went 3 yrs without working. I am trying to make it to my 12 month mark, opening up more opportunity for decent companies but AT THE COST OF MY HOUSE, MY CAR AND NOT BEING ABLE TO FEED MY KIDS IS CRAZY!! Like i said; I had no misconceptions but i am not sure i will make it another 3 months. I have been evicted from not being able to pay rent twice. Do u guys know of any companies that will give me a shot and pay me at least enough to live out here prior to 12 months of experience? Please help. I am a female and really wonder if i am just being taken advantage of or is this how its suppose to go....

    Plenty of companies will pay you more. Post location and type of trucking you prefer.

    @Chinatown.

    Who are you with and what is your pay rate. Plus are you having to payback a loan to the company for schooling

    I am on the east coast but will run anywhere. Not scared of anything or anywhere, really. Read all the mixed reviews and talk to other drivers but just get so many different opinions. My head is spinning..

    Cant even get to the point of paying anyone back. Went with a private school. A community college. Owe a meager 50 dollars a month. I can put that on hold for financial difficulties, which i have done. I am from VA, . Work for a company out of ky. 33 cent/ miles. Have no tickets, no felonies and not a bad driving record. Just not a lot of experience.

    That's ridiculous.

    I hope you can get with a decent company that will give you 2000-2500 miles/ week, at least!

    Good luck driver

    Brickwall and Canwil3565 Thank this.

    Have you considered tankers/Hazmat? I made 45K my first year pulling tankers. I am not familiar with tanker companies in Virginia. Try Schneider, maybe?

    QuietStorm and Lepton1 Thank this.
