I went to Freightliner in Las Vegas, my problem was small bursts of the check engine light would come on. When I purchased the truck,I failed to notice the technical data plate on the valve cover was missing. So every time I would need a part there was no way to know the engine data and horse power. Well, today me and Freightliner went head to heated head, Freightliner wanted $118.00 to hook up a computer to down load the information. Well the Service desk ruffled my feathers and I got heated, all of a sudden another nice person stepped in "In my favor" Bring your truck to the front "I'll get laptop and met you at your truck, he (nice Person) down loaded all the engine data, ran a test and found the turbo sensor had engine faulted codes "75" times. He said that is what caused the check engine light to come on. That bad sensor would also cause poor power pulling and poor fuel mileage.
So my hat is off and a big thank you to that nice Person. I would mention his name , but he might not like that. many thanks again. the sensor was $89.00 with tax and I can hold it in the palm of my hand. Asked about injectors, $ """"820.00""""" a pop. they must be made out of Obama Gold.
Thanks to for reading my rant.
Help came on a bad day.
