Help!!! Chasing whining sound Cat C15 Acert

    You are right , but mechanic for cat is very hard to find , turbo leak down test was done , it produce good boost upto 50psi I m on bully dog tuner economy mode.

    Is your alternator on the right side of the engine by chance? Just asking because a dying alternator will make whining noise that goes with the rpm that you can hear inside your cab and die down during idle. I just went through this. I didn’t have any voltage issues at all. However, the alternator was telling me it’s time to replace. Just a suggestion.

    Try spraying some wd40 into the bearing section of the fan clutch.
    i had this nasty howl thought it was turbo or bull gear. Turns out just needed some wd on the ol fan clutch lol

    Make sure that fan blade shaft isnt wobbling. A fanhub frag can eat the radiator.

    The twins are the only way to go....

    I can vouch for that 60. I always had between 55 and 60 on my 05 mxs.
