Hi all, I have just degreased the entire outside of my M11 ready to start pulling it down before starting the inframe rebuild. Just after advice of the best way to clean the area inside the block/head were water/coolant travells. Is there a clearner/chemical that i can use to clean the water galleries and engine block, ? P.s also is there a chemical/cleaner to clean out the radiator. ENGINE and RADIATOR NOT JOINED AND ENGINE NOT RUNNING, so an off the self cleaner is of no use because I can not run the engine.
HOPE THIS MAKES SENSE. regards Dave![]()

If cap the end of the raidiator off then fill it with water and Baking Soda that is what I used to OH farm engines then let it soak for a day then uncap it. For the blockuse a Pressure washer after you have the liners out of it and blast them as clean as you can get it.
AUSSIE DAVE Thanks this. -
Thanks for the info

Sorry was Banned for a week called royally falmed someone in the Politics section. Think Aussie Football style then kick their gonads thru the goalposts. I would use about 2 cups of Baking soda per gallon of water.

Just an update FYI - Started pulling down the M11 on Friday, so far the Crankshaft, and conrods are in good order, and the head looks like it will be crack free as well, (yippy) it appears that the head gasket let go at number 5 cylinder when the previous owners driver/employee blew it up. P.s Jakes, rocker gear, etc all look good also. so I might get the inframe done for around $3K - $5K.
