Watch his video, the throwout bearing is 100% f###ed.

Not necessarily. He said he didn't have any issues with the clutch while changing gears. If it was the throw-out bearing, it probably would have warned him long after with slippage. But he said he didn't have slippage.

I thought the worst also when it happened to me. But thankfully, one of you road warriors on this forum steered me (see what I did there?) in the right direction.

I've had no problems since. And believe me, I put this truck through hell.

My girl has some days when the power is off, so I sometimes can't float as smoothly as I would like. The shift points are all over the place.

Mine do look all wobbly. Will replace those as well. But as @AModelCat said throwout is ducked

Interesting. Would you say yours looked like mine in the video ? Problem is I always notice a play in the throwout while greasing. That has me leaning towards doing the clutch. Thoughts

So this is what happened to me...

I was at the Blue Beacon in Barstow getting ready to give the girl a bath. As I put the clutch in to get into the bay...POP! My clutch was on the floor. It was just stuck there. No play. I had to pull it up with my hand. I couldn't start her in gear because my batteries were weak. It's a good thing I couldn't because my plan was to drive to Vegas without the clutch!

Yes, I saw that now. I don't know much about mechanics, so I take your word for it. I was just sharing what happened to me. People told me it was the clutch also, but luckily they were wrong. That time! (Knock on wood.)

Haha I'm guessing your girl resents baths!
Had planned on doing front springs and bush over the weekend. Add clutch and linkages to that as well. Thanks all

Happened to me once. Hit a big pothole, bad cab bushings caused the cab to jump up, caused the linkage to jump the threads. Told I needed a new clutch. Figured it out. Adjusted linkage. Threads are very fine. First 2 times it happened I snapped the shift rod. Had it welded twice. Last time reinforced so it wouldn’t break. Finally figured out I needed cab bushings.

I’m not saying that’s your problem, but worth checking. I had to take the rod off, put in a vice, and crank on it to get threaded rod adjusted.

Copy that. Being that I'll have it down that's definitely something I'll address
