I have a 1995 L8000 with a 16k front and 23k rear, and it currently has Dayton spoke wheels. its time to do king pins and brakes and id like to change it over to Hub piloted in the process. i have google searched my hub number and bearing numbers but i havent found any solid information on matching unimount hubs. I know people say to call junk yards, However my local wreckers are absolutely no help. I have the following information on my front hub:
Front hub casting number: FX196
Inner cup: 552A
Inner cone: 555S
Outer cup: 6420
Outer cone: 6461A
But they still can't tell me what hub I need to go hub piloted. Looking online it looks like a #2530 Webb hub should work. But I am not 100%. I have no way to confirm. I'm just taking a guess. If anyone happens to have any experience with this and can tell me what i need to look for (and where to get it cheaply would be a plus) I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thank you,
Andrew

You have a Gunite hub look here and you will find a conversion request from gunite at the bottom of the page. There is alot more to converting hubs than just the bearings. there is also the distance between the bearings and the bore for the seal, and weight rating for example. http://www.accuridewheelendsolutions.com/products/gunite-wheel-ends-product-search/

Thanks. I found that site this morning. I hadn't been able to find any concrete information on the FX196 until then.
That site cleared everything up.
thank you for replying, that should helpfully help anyone else looking.
when I order my parts ill reply back if it all works out. -
CALL the company that made your hubs and with the part number they will tell you all the part numbers you need to do the conversion. It is that simple, I have done it before.
