Just don't lie on the application, if it asks about convictions, put convictions, it it asks about arrests or charges, then list them. As I understand it deferred adjudication is not a conviction, so I would raise it with a recruiter over the phone rather than mentioning it on an application and chance being disqualified before talking to a live person .
Just make sure you answer to application questions honestly.
I got arrested for DUI in 1984. I took a first offenders plea, essentially a nolo and part of that was a stipulation that if I was not stopped again within 5 years there is no record of a guilty conviction. So if an application asks if I have ever been arrested for it, I answer yes, there is a record of the arrest. If it asks if I have been convicted of it, I answer no, there is no record of a conviction.
