Yep, sorry that is what I meant. All insurance must be purchased through a broker, you can't call the company directly to discuss these things or quotes.

bump sorry i appreciate the info but insurance companies are not giving me info and ive been getting nothing butexcitment off my resume til they hear about my record, i know im beating a dead horse here but no one knows of anyone that has a bad record and i company that gave them a chance?

Living that close to the GTA you may have options like garbage hauling. It is short radius, value of load is low, insurance may be able to get you in there. The only thing holding you back is insurance, man. The smaller the radius the lower the rate. Also may check into road construction work, like the guys that move the concrete barriers and such. Even maybe the dump trucks or cement trucks. Perhaps you could even look into doing something local delivery of say shingles or bricks to construction sites. Anything to get you back driving will look good in future as far as ins. companies are concerned.

Get something with haulin a pup if you're already in a gravel hauler.. I'm up north and we're usually busy all year long!
