Can anyone recommend a good national cell phone plan? My fiance just finished orientation with Roehle and is out on the road with his trainer. He asked me to set up a cell phone for him with a national plan (he has a prepaid now) and I have no clue. Thanks for the help!

Verizon or AT & T are options.

The best thing to do is google them and look at their service maps.

I had verizon. I had 1 contracts with them back to back, then they started doing stupid stuff. We went with cingular who was bought out by AT&T. They seen to drop calls more than cingular did. I do like the rollover minutes that they have tho. That is a nice feature that verizon did not have.

We have Verizon and are very happy with it. They seem to have great coverage. Keep in mind the extras when you sign up for a plan. Different companies will have very different charges for the extras, and they can quickly add up. Directory assistance, text messages, navigation, internet, downloading songs, etc. Above all, make sure that he has a plan that he can call you for free.

I liked verizon too, up until the end. We had the national plan and even calling verizon to verizon (my wife) in the same state they was billing me roaming charges. They got real stupid in the end and I got tired of fighting with them. My wife had made the last payment (after 2 contracts) and since we never used all the minutes she went to another plan and kept her same number. Verizon billed us 100 bucks after we had completed 2 contracts. Even tho we had paid them off. They said that number was contracted with them. The month was not up when she switched. Which they said broke the contract. Note she paid the last month we owed, prior to switching. They just got to the point where every month we would have to call and get credited with stuff they would bill us.
